A 5-minute walk from JR Asahikawa Station, “Tsuboya Sohonten Tokinomori” is a concept shop for the 100th anniversary of its founding. As we celebrate our 100th anniversary, we want people to experience the history of Tsuboya again,
to restore the vitality of the “Face of Asahikawa” shopping park, and to provide an opportunity for people to learn about Asahikawa through this store.

The store design was supervised by Sosuke Fujimoto (graduated from Asahikawa Higashi High School). It is characterized by original buildings that express the “forest” of Hokkaido, and is designed to give you a sense of the history from its founding to the past and the future in the future.

The centerpiece of the new store is the new brand “potea”. It was born from the idea of “pot + tea”, which means “pot” in English and combines elements of pot shop sweets (adding pastry chef skills) with “tea”. This is a new sensation drink of “sweets × tea” that adds sweet elements to existing tea drinks, such as shortcakes, monaka, and apple pie.

Of course, there are also famous sweets such as “Kibana” and “Tsubo Monaka”, which are standard products of the Tsuboya Sohonten, making them ideal for purchasing Asahikawa souvenirs. Enjoy a new style of confectionery shop that combines Asahikawa’s tradition and innovation.
