A single poplar standing on a gentle hill in Biei Town is the “Ken and Mary Tree”. It became a filming location for automobile commercials in the 1970s and became familiar with its name. The expanse of the fields, the paths, and the trees that stretch out over the mountains in the distance create a picturesque landscape, and the expression changes depending on the season and time of day. From early summer with fresh greenery, golden harvest season, and winter scenery that shines on snowy fields, every season is photogenic.

Since the surrounding area is farmland, do not enter private land, and quietly admire and take pictures from the road or designated viewing points. It is also ideal for hill hopping drives in conjunction with the nearby “Mild Seven Hills”.
